1902 German South West Africa - 1902 picture post card (farmers at cattle auction) to Germany with a 5pf tied by a violet KAPENOUSSEU Wanderstempel (Putzel A4a, 4000 points) with the town name 41mm long. A Lautenthal 19 10 02 arrival c.d.s. is on the front of the card. Kapenousseu was a short lived town name, the post office opening in November 1901 and then changing its name to Waldau on 1 March 03. 1922 Ireland - 1922 cover to The District Asylum, Kilkenny, with a Thom 2d cancelled BLACKROCK 3 NO 22. that has been charred and waterstained with a very fine strike of the violet two line SALVED FROM / FIRE G P O DUBLIN. On the night of November 4/5 the Rotunda Rink Sorting Office was attacked and set on fire and burned down by the I.R.A. Although this cover has the backflap missing, it shows a very fine strike of this cachet. 1922 Ireland

This post office on the Worcester  Ceres railway line was named opened in November 1896 and named after a prominent local farming family. In August 1902 the name was changed to Bothas Halt. A very scarce numeral cancellation in combination with this datestamp. Nuy Siding was on the railway line from Worcester and changed its name to Nuy Station in 1906. 1903 Cape of Good Hope
