On 2 September 1951, the Pan American Convair 240 from Miami crashed into the sea at Kingston Bay while attempting to land. The recovered mail was forwarded to its’ destination where a cachet was applied. This cover from New York to Colombia has an arrival backstamp of Barranquila 6 IX 1951. A boxed four line explanatory cachet is on the front of the cover, written in Spanish and applied on arrival.
