1864 mourning cover to France, endorsed ‘via Marseilles’, with an imperf 9d, (SG 8) with good large margins, lightly tied by a barred canceller. A red NUWERA ELLIA MY 30 64 dispatch cancel is on the front of the cover, as well as a P D h/s and Marseilles 29 JUIN transit cancel. A 1 JUIL arrival c.d.s. is on the back. Fractionally shortened at the right, but a rare stamp on cover, particularly as a single usage.
