1899 Brief Kaart to Bloemfontein with a ½d cancelled by the rare P. K. KAALVALLIE FE 5 99. A Bloemfontein FE 6 99 arrival cancel. Is on the card. Kaalvallie was a very small village in the Winburg district, 12 miles from Ventersburg Road. The Post Office opened on 9 January 1899 with a bi weekly post cart to and from Odensdals Rust. This is a very early usage from this village. The name changed to Kaal Valley early in the 1900’s. A very scarce cancel.
