1930 MAIL VAN FIRE. A mail van caught fire between Arnhem and Emmerich on 24th April 1930. The mail was being transported by van as there was no train service between these two towns. A two line cachet was applied to damaged mail. Reports say that over half the mail was destroyed. A seldom seen item from this incident.
