1974 CYCLONE TRACY, DARWIN, AUSTRALIA. A cover to Frankston, Victoria, endorsed ‘DARWIN, EXEMPT POSTAGE’ and cancelled with a boxed JAN 28 PAID cancel. Cyclone Tracy struck Darwin on 24th December 1974 with winds exceeding 135 m.p.h. The town was devastated and 66 people killed. A scarce cover from this cyclone.
