SOMALIA. 1947 G.B. 3d registered envelope (Size ‘F’) overprinted E.A.F. sent air mail (via London) to Italy with a 3d, 6d, 2d and pair of 9d paying postage of 2/5d along with the 3d registration. The stamps have been cancelled MOGADISHU ‘C’ SOMALIA 3 JU 47. An arrival cancel of 18.6.47 is on the back The ‘Registration / Fee ……Paid’ at the lower left corner has the dotted line between ‘Fee’ and ‘Paid’ rather than the solid line and the Registration label that was printed Kismayo has been handstamped ‘MOGADISCIO’. The compensation amount on the back of the cover has been changed from £5 to £2. with a large ‘2’ h/s in black. A fine and interesting size ‘F’ cover.
