1894 Cape of Good Hope ½d postal card uprated with a Cape 1d, to Switzerland and taxed on arrival. The Cape stamps have been cancelled by MASERU SP 26 94 ‘281’ duplex cancels. Aliwal North SP 28 and Cape Town SP 30 4 transit cancels are on the card which was taxed 20c on arrival and the Postage Due cancelled Neuchatel 22 X 94. The card was sent by a missionary. Unfortunately the script on the back is blurred due to the card having been stuck down at some stage. The Paris Missionary Society was the first to be established in Basutoland in 1833. They had a number of Stations there.
