1879 quadruple rate letter to Kingston with a strip of four 2d tied by barred numeral ‘A62’ cancels of PLANTAIN GARDEN RIVER, a village in the Parish of St. Thomas. A P. G. RIVER FE 17 79 datestamp is on the front of the letter, on the back is a Kingston FE 18 79 arrival c.d.s. There are faults including creasing and a small tear at the top, but an uncommon quadruple rate.
