EATEN BY SNAILS COVER. 1969 cover with a 4d cancelled EXETER 20 OC 69 that has an official label attached with an explanation as to why the cover has been damaged with ‘EATEN BY SNAILS’ in manuscript. Virtually all the covers that have been known to have been eaten by snails originate in Devon and Cornwall. Very uncommon.
