1898 Rhodesia 1d postal card with a ½d added, addressed to Mafeking & cancelled FRANCISTOWN S. AFRICA JA 17 9. A Mafeking JA 19 98 arrival datestamp is on the card. The postal services of the Tati District were transferred to the British South Africa Company in 1894 although the district remained under the Bechuanaland administration. B.S.A.C. stamps and postal stationery were in use in the Tati District between 1894 and 1898. The two post offices there were Tati and Francistown. A scarce card from this district.
