1888 cover sent internally with a 2d grey bisected to pay a 1d rate, tied by a barred ‘B31’ canceller with a FREETOWN FE 18 88 dispatch datestamp in the lower left corner. Although not listed in Stanley Gibbons, Robson Lowe in his Encyclopedia considers them correctly used. Very few (3 or 4 only) are known.
