A Great Northern Railroad Company train crashed and the coaches were derailed at Everett, Washington, about 9 December 1921. The mail was forwarded to Tacoma where a two line cachet was applied. ‘Received in bad condition / Tacoma, Wash.’ Little is known about what happened but there are pictures on the web of the carriages lying on their sides at Everett. Unrecorded in Hoggarth & Gwynn.
