1961 cover from Vacaville, Ca to St Louis Mo. that has been burnt at the left corner. A two line violet ‘Received at St Louis / Mo. – Damaged by fire’ cachet is on the front of the cover. Only three covers have been recorded with this cachet and, other than the fire took place between California and Missouri, nothing else is known about the incident.
